Czech govt dismisses chief sanitary officer

The cabinet on Thursday dismissed Eva Gottvaldova as the Czech chief sanitary officer and named Central Bohemia regional sanitary office head Jarmila Razova as her interim replacement, Razova's spokeswoman has told CTK, confirming the information released by iDnes.cz server. In February, parliament amended legislation that specifies the education required for the post. The appointee must be a doctor by training, with specialisation in the sanitary field. Gottvaldova does not meet that condition.
