July 12th, 2021
The Czech government on Monday approved lawmakers' proposal to pay compensation for damages caused by explosions in military depots in Vrbetice, South Moravia, in 2014, Interior Minister Jan Hamacek has told journalists. The bill now will go before the House of Deputies. This April, a Czech-Russian diplomatic rift was triggered by the presented findings of the Czech secret services and investigators that Russian military intelligence GRU agents were involved in the blasts in 2014. Russia has denied the allegations. The feud has provoked the expulsion of a number of Russian diplomats from Prague in April. Moscow then responded in kind.
