Czech foreign policy to insist on human rights - policy statement

The Czech Republic' foreign policy will be based on anchoring in the EU, NATO and good relations with neighbours, the government said in a policy statement released on Friday, adding that it will emphasise human rights and insist on Czech interests and European values in the world. The Czech Republic must be an active member of the EU and NATO, it said. "We will stress stable partnership with democratic countries across the world, the protection of human rights and democracy and insistence on Czech economic interests and European values in the world," the government said.
