Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek has welcomed the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, saying that Czechia backed all diplomatic efforts aimed at the de-escalation of tensions and settling the conflict in a way that guarantees Israel's security and the prospect of peace talks. The fights lasted eleven days, claiming 244 victims, mainly among Palestinians. The ceasefire has taken effect as of 01:00 CEST, celebrated by people not only in the Gaza Strip, but also on the West Bank and in east Jerusalem.
