Czech football league restarts after month-long coronavirus break

The highest Czech professional football league will restart on Friday after a one-month break when it was suspended in an effort to slow down the spread of coronavirus in the country, the League Football Association has said in a press release. The highest ice hockey league will restart in the country as well and the first games are to be played on Saturday. The government allowed for a restart of professional sport competitions on Monday provided that they meet strict sanitary measures and the Health Ministry grants them an exemption from the ban on collective activities.
