Czech faces life sentence for modern slavery in Britain - press

The Regional Court in Plzen, west Bohemia, extradited a 33-year-old Czech man to Britain, where he faces up to life imprisonment for modern slavery and other crimes related to it, at his own request on Wednesday, daily Pravo writes today. In spite of the threat of a life term, the suspect, Zdenek Drevenak, agreed with his extradition and this is why the court approved the British law enforcement bodies' request smoothly, in accelerated proceedings. The verdict has taken effect.
