Czech diplomat Sedivy named head of European Defence Agency

Former Czech ambassador to NATO Jiri Sedivy officially became the head of the European Defence Agency (EDA), the body developing military defence cooperation of EU members said in a press release today. Upon taking up one of the top posts in the EU held by a Czech, Sedivy said that during the current COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of EU defence cooperation had even increased.
