Czech deputy PM's new libdem party to be called LIDEM

The political grouping of Czech Deputy PM Karolina Peake and other defectors from the former junior ruling Public Affairs (VV)will be called LIDEM, the platform said on Thursday. The name of the party, LIDEM, is based on the words "liberal democrats," Peake said. "We want to present ourselves as a liberal centre-right party and we intend to strive for the revival of public trust in the system of parliamentary democracy and politics," he said.
