Czech deputy PM Havlicek assumes office of transport minister

January 24th, 2020

Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and Trade Minister Karel Havlicek assumed the office of transport minister on Friday morning when Prime Minster Andrej Babis inaugurated him. Havlicek replaced Vladimir Kremlik whom Babis dismissed as he had failed as a manager in the case of the motorway vignettes e-shop and information system contract. Havlicek will head both ministries simultaneously until the end of the government's term, Babis said.
