Czech customs officers apprehend human smuggler

Prague customs officers have caught a driver from Hungary who tried to escape a police patrol and was found to be transporting three refugees from Syria, customs spokeswoman Ivana Kurkova reported. The police handled the case in expedited proceedings, sending the driver to court on suspicion of facilitating illegal border crossing, police spokesman Jan Danek told CTK.
