Czech COVID-19 patient may be treated with experimental US drug

Czech doctors will be able to use the US experimental drug Remdesivir for a COVID-19 patient now in a critical condition in the Prague General Teaching Hospital (VFN), hospital spokeswoman Marie Hermankova told journalists on Friday. The US Gilead biotechnology company has approved the inclusion of the patient into its programme and has already sent the drug to the Czech Republic.
