Czech court convicts five charged with human trafficking in Britain

The Regional Court in Usti sent three people to prison from six to 18 years for trafficking in people in Britain and imposed suspended sentences on the other two gang members, on Wednesday. The verdict has not taken effect as all defendants appealed it on the spot. The mastermind of the crime, Julius Rigo, was sentenced to 18 years behind bars and his wife Darina to nine years.
