Czech Cinematography Fund to give 92 m crowns extra aid to film

The State Cinematography Fund Council (SFKMG) will earmark additional 92 million crowns in support of Czech film-makers to help them overcome the financial decline caused by the coronavirus crisis and has put up three bids in this respect, fund spokesman Jiri Vanek told CTK on Wednesday. The support will primarily go to the areas of the film industry that would be the first to need a fast restart, such as cinema reopening, the development of audiovisual projects and distribution, council chairwoman Helena Bendova said.
