European Parliament representatives led by President Roberta Metsola and the Czech government of Petr Fiala will have a meeting on June 16, two weeks before Czechia will take over the presidency of the Council of the EU from France, the government spokesman Vaclav Smolka said today. Smolka said the programme of the working meeting is being finalised in cooperation with Czech parliament. Prime Minister Fiala previously said a joint meeting of the Czech government and the European Commission held in Litomysl, east Bohemia, on July 1 will open the Czech EU presidency.
