Czech cabinet appoints Valkova as human rights commissioner

The Czech government met Prime Minister Andrej Babis's (ANO) proposal and appointed MP and former justice minister Helena Valkova, 68, as the new human rights commissioner on Monday. She said she would like to primarily focus on children in need, the elderly and disabled and the socially disadvantaged people.
