June 9th, 2020
The ban on public gatherings for more than 500 people, which the Czech government previously introduced due to the risk of coronavirus, no longer applies explicitly to demonstrations based on the assembly law as of 15:00 today, Health Minister Adam Vojtech (for ANO) said. By adjusting the definition of the ban, he reacted to recent debates on whether the ban applies to demonstrations in a situation where the Million Moments for Democracy group is organising protests against the government and PM Andrej Babis (ANO) in Prague and other more than 160 places in the Czech Republic.
