Czech army wants to buy at least one combat drone

The Czech military wants to buy at least one drone weighing several hundred kilos that may carry not only optoelectronic and radiological sensors but also weapon systems, Chief-of-Staff Ales Opata told journalists on Thursday. The acquisition of this reconnaissance and combat drone will begin in 2022 and the military should receive it by 2024, Opata said at a parade marking the establishment of the 533rd battalion of unmanned aerial vehicles seated in Prostejov.
