Czech army temporarily withdraws troops from Iraq

March 24th, 2020

The Czech army on Tuesday temporarily withdrew troops from Iraq, citing the shrinking number of operational tasks, security threats, the coronavirus epidemic and a planned restructuring of the mission, General Staff spokeswoman Magdalena Dvorakova told CTK. Thirty troops were withdrawn from Iraq and arrived home by plane in the evening, she said.
