Two cases of hackers penetrating the Czech embassies' networks were uncovered last year and malware was found during the investigation into a previous cyberattack on the Foreign Ministry, the BIS civilian counterintelligence service writes in its 2019 annual report released on Tuesday. A cyber espionage group of a foreign state is believed to have been behind the malware attack, the report says. In its report, the BIS also warns against the abuse of big state contracts in favour of foreign firms or countries. Specific projects are not mentioned, but the context indicates that it may be the planned completion of the nuclear power plant in Dukovany, south Moravia, and the construction of the 5G networks.
