Customs officers uncovered tonnes of tobacco, millions of cigarettes and efficient illegal lines for the manufacture of cigarettes and other tobacco products within recent two extensive raids at several places in Czechia, along with tax evasion worth over 170 million crowns, they told CTK today. After the first raid, the police detained 14 people and accused them of tax evasion. The other raid uncovered an international group trading in illegally produced cigarettes. Prosecution of 12 suspects has been launched, Customs Authority spokeswoman Martina Kankova said.
