Culture minister objects to Fico's rRemarks on journalists

November 5th, 2021

Culture Minister Natalia Milanova on Friday condemned and objected to statements and the manner in which head of Smer-SD Robert Fico refers to journalists and their work, adding that his words incite hatred and divide the public. Journalists are part of democracy, they are its guardians, and it's thanks to them that people have a guarantee that politicians, regardless of party t-shirt, will come under scrutiny. We as politicians may not like it, but we must respect it, said Milanova. Earlier this week, Fico referred to journalists as Soros corrupted herd of pigs.
