Crisis team pondering whether to move bomb in capital before detonation

July 20th, 2021

A crisis team is currently dealing with the issue of whether a bomb that was found earlier in the day at a construction site on Chalupkova Street in Bratislava should be destroyed on the spot or transported to another location first. At the same time, it has been determined that the bomb originates from WWII, most probably from June 1944, when US bombers attacked the Apollo refinery and other strategic targets in Bratislava.
