COVID travel pass might be introduced as of June - Czech ForMin

March 17th, 2021

The unified EU COVID passport, the parameters of which the European Commission proposed today, might start to be used approximately as of late May or early June, Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek (Social Democrats, CSSD) told a press conference today. He said this will be a mere temporary solution. As soon as the World Health Organisation (WHO) says the coronavirus pandemic is over, Europe's goal is to return to its usual travel conditions, he said. Amid the persisting pandemic, the COVID passport is to facilitate the cross-border travelling for those vaccinated, those with a negative test for COVID-19 and those with the relevant antibodies.
