COVID situation may worsen in autumn - epidemiologist

There are four scenarios of a possible development of the COVID-19 epidemic and the epidemiological situation in Czechia is likely to worsen in the autumn, though hospitals may not be burdened anymore, epidemiologist Rastislav Madar said in an expert debate today. The reproduction number R, standing for the people infected by one positive person, is likely to rise. However, soft measures would suffice to control the development, Madar said during a discussion of representatives of the hotel and gastronomy branches.
