COVID reproduction number drops to 1.00 in Czechia on Thursday

Laboratories revealed 488 new COVID cases in Czechia on Thursday, 60 fewer than a week ago, and the reproduction number R, standing for the people infected by one positive person, dropped to 1.00, the Health Ministry's data show this morning. The R number below 1.00 suggests that the epidemic slows down, while its value above this level implies the COVID spread gains speed. Like a week ago, 164 people required hospital care over the coronavirus infection. Out of them, 27 were in a serious condition.
