October 21st, 2021
Czech laboratories confirmed 3,276 new COVID cases on Wednesday, more than two times more than a week ago, which shows that the infection has been spreading faster and faster in the country, according to the data released on the Health Ministry website today. On Wednesday, both the daily rise in new infections and the number of hospitalised coronavirus patients have been the highest since May 26. Czech hospitals treated 726 such patients, including 114 in serious condition, on October 20. A week ago, 407 persons with COVID were hospitalised.
