Covid-19 spread slowing in Czech Republic

The Czech Republic registered another 7,874 Covid-19 cases on Thursday, 1,000 less than on Wednesday and almost 5,400 less than a week ago, according to data released by the health minister. The number of active infections stands at 140,201, most of whom have minor symptoms. Fully 7,564 people are hospitalised with Covid-19, of whom 1,120 are in a serious condition. The death toll rose by 47 from Thursday evening to reach 5,755. Altogether 446,675 people have been infected with coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, of whom over 300,000 have recovered.
