Coronavirus spread picks up in Czech Republic again

The Czech Republic registered another 493 coronavirus cases on Monday, a quarter more than a week ago and hospitals are treating 139 Covid patients, 48 more than last Monday, according to data released by the health ministry. This is the second highest daily number since early June. Before, more cases of the infection, 582, were detected last Tuesday. The incident rate or the weekly number of newly infected per 100,000 people rose slightly from 24 to 25 cases. This is seven cases more than a week ago.
