Coronavirus - 272 fatalities, 9,637 new infections

Fully 272 generally elderly patients with co-morbidities died over the past 24 hours, while 9,637 new infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday. Altogether 1,747,519 people have been vaccinated in Hungary, 524,604 of whom have received a second shot, the portal said. The number of active infections has risen to 196,553 while hospitals are caring for 11,760 Covid patients, 1,467 of whom need respiratory assistance. Altogether 54,422 people are in official home quarantine, and the number of tests stands at 4,403,317. Since the first outbreak, 603,347 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 19,224. Fully 387,570 people have made a recovery.
