Consulate in Ukraine spray-painted with 'We'll Trade Slovakia for Crimea'

Slovakia's Honorary Consulate in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has been defaced with graffiti reading "We'll trade Slovakia for Crimea", local website Status Quo (sq.com.ua) reported on Friday. The graffiti appeared in response to Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic's jocular remark on Radio Expres earlier this week, when he was asked what he had promised Russia in return for the procurement of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccines and replied: "Zakarpattia." He added shortly afterwards: "I didn't promise anything ... I was just attempting to secure a vaccine."
