Confidence in Slovakia's economy up in January, only iIndustry remains sceptical

January 28th, 2022

Confidence in Slovakia's economy grew slightly at the beginning of the year, with only entrepreneurs engaged in industry being rather sceptical, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. The overall seasonally adjusted economic sentiment indicator grew by 3.4 percentage points (p.p.) to 98.2 in January. The current figure is much more optimistic than in the same period of last year but is still below the long-term average (by 4.3 p.p.).
