Communists' leadership not rejecting deputy head's words on 1968

October 29th, 2019

The Czech Communists' (KSCM) leadership has not distanced itself from the statements by KSCM deputy head Stanislav Grospic who said the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia was no occupation and the then casualties were mainly due to traffic accidents, KSCM head Vojtech Filip said today. However, Filip also said that the KSCM members should be reserved in their statements and see to it that they were in harmony with the party's official line.
