Comenius univerisity not to investigate PM's thesis any further

Bratislava's Comenius University does not consider a further examination of Prime Minister Igor Matovic's diploma thesis as necessary, the university's spokesperson Lenka Miller told TASR on Thursday in reaction to the University Student Council's call. The largest Slovak university condemned plagiarism jointly with the Association of Universities with Research and Technical Focus (V7) and the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Their joint statement reads that "an academic degree shouldn't be a sign of social status, but the result of an honest academic approach".
