More than 110 Charles University (UK) students and graduates signed a petition that sees the ongoing climate strike at the rector's office in the Karolinum building in Prague as "groundless and incompatible with the standards of academic life". About 20 students from the Universities for the Climate initiative have been occupying the Karolinum building since Wednesday. Matyas Jakubu, a representative of the striking students, told CTK on Monday that the group plans to stay in the Karolinum at least until Tuesday. "We think the undignified, indecent and crude behaviour of some of the Universities for Climate members inflicts serious damage on Charles University in the eyes of the lay public as well as the expert community," he said.
