Charity concert to aid Syria on January 6

Polish Royal Opera artists will give a charity concert "Poland Helps - Aid to Syria" at the Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery of the Royal Lazienki Museum on January 6, to be broadcast by the Polish public radio and television. The event will be the seventh "Poland Helps" charity concert organised on the initiative of Polish Deputy Culture Minister Piotr Glinski, the Culture Ministry reported on its website, adding that "Poland Helps" concerts have always been held to support Caritas Polska charity. "The ongoing conflict in Syria shows that there is still need for our solidarity -- above divisions and above borders -- with people from another region of the world, who need the same that we do," Minister Glinski was quoted as saying.
