The Specialised Criminal Court on Tuesday approved plea bargains with former police officers Milan Zacik and Ivan Bobocky, who were both charged with corruption, accepting bribes, misusing their powers and working for a criminal group, handing down a suspended sentence of four years to both of them and seizing their property. In order to conclude the plea bargain, both men had to plead guilty and waive their rights to a public trial and to appeal against the verdict. In addition to the suspended sentence and seized property, they've also been banned from working in the police for several years and they aren't allowed to meet their accomplices.
