Cermat education institute head sacked over mismanagement

May 24th, 2022

Education Minister Petr Gazdik on Tuesday said he has dismissed Michaela Klenhova, head of the Cermat centre for mapping education results, which prepares the Czech state part of the secondary school leaving exams, due to unsatisfactory, inefficient and sluggish management. A check carried out by the Finance Ministry has revealed serious flaws in 2020, Gazdik told reporters. Klenhova has been relieved of her post effective Tuesday, and Cermat will be temporarily headed by Gazdik's deputy Milan Stabl until a new director is chosen in a public selection procedure launched by the Education Ministry.
