Despite the crisis caused by the pandemic, Slovakia's financial sector has remained stable, and not even payment deferrals have caused as much of a problem as originally expected, representatives of the Slovak central bank (NBS) said at a press conference focused on Slovakia's financial stability on Tuesday. According to the NBS, banks in the country have seen their profits shrink, but they've remained steady. Most of the people who previously asked for payment deferrals have returned to paying them in the meantime.
