The largest ethnic minority in Slovakia is the Hungarian one, with 7.75 percent of the population declaring membership of it, according to the results of the 2021 census published by the Statistics Office on Thursday. The second most numerous ethnic minority is the Roma on 1.23 percent, followed by the Czech minority (0.53 percent) and Rusyns (0.44 percent). The majority Slovak nationality makes up 83.8 percent of the population.
