Census: Almost 96 percent of population born in Slovakia

Almost 96 percent (95.8 percent) of the Slovak population was born in Slovakia, according to the results of the 2021 census published by the Statistics Office on Thursday. Less than 4 percent (3.92 percent) of the population was born outside Slovakia, with the highest numbers of these people born in the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
