Caputova wants to be 'voice of those not heard'

The past year has been "exceptional and demanding" in many situations, President Zuzana Caputova has told TASR in an interview marking her first year in office. Caputova said she would continue to try to "speak for those whose voices aren't heard". She wants to be active in the discussion on systemic changes in how the prosecution service functions. Concerning future challenges, she pointed to the need to deal with the impacts of the coronavirus crisis. "An intelligent plan for using development aid needs to be created so that we can actually manage to draw it," she stressed.
