Caputova: Russia's recognition of separatist republic choice of confrontation

President Zuzana Caputova took to Twitter on Monday night to criticise the decision of her Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to recognise the self-proclaimed separatist Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic in Donbas in Ukraine as independent countries. "Russia's recognition of the so-called people's republics trashes years of efforts to resolve a conflict that Moscow has created. It's choosing confrontation over diplomacy and a blatant breach of international law and Ukraine's sovereignty," Caputova wrote.
