Changes will be made to the categorisation of firearms, with some being included in the banned category, according to an amendment to the law on the Act on Firearms and Ammunition due to be discussed by the cabinet at its session. Under the new rules, the validity of firearms licences should be limited from an indefinite period to five years. The agenda of the session also includes extending the group of protected areas, natural monuments and natural reservations by six items.
