The government decided at its special meeting today that it would ask the Chamber of Deputies to extend the state of emergency over the COVID-19 epidemic in Czechia, valid from October 5 to November 3 so far, by one month until December 3, PM Andrej Babis (ANO) has told reporters. The cabinet can prolong the state of emergency only after a previous consent by the lower house of Czech parliament. MPs are to debate the proposal on Friday.
