Cabinet earmarks half billion crowns for new respirators, masks

The Czech government has earmarked 500 million crowns from the state budget reserve for the purchase of protective equipment against coronavirus in reaction to rising infection, PM Andrej Babis told a press conference after a cabinet meeting today. He said Health Minister Adam Vojtech has been tasked to prepare an emergency distribution of respirators and face masks and that the government would discuss detailed measures in this respect at its next meeting on Monday.
