Those reporting unlawful activities will enjoy state protection against a possible revenge of their employers but also face a fine of up to 50,000 crowns if intentionally providing a false report, based on the bill on whistleblowers protection which the cabinet approved today. If also passed by parliament, the bill would bind companies to introduce their internal system of accepting and handling whistleblowers' reports.
