Businessman Basternak released on parole

Convicted businessman Ladislav Basternak was granted parole on Monday. The Trencin District Court complied with a proposal submitted by the governor of the prison in Dubnica nad Vahom (Trencin region), where Basternak is serving his five-year sentence. The decision is not binding, as the prosecutor has appealed it.
