Budapest Mayor Gergely Karacsony called for sustained patience from the city's residents in a Facebook message on Wednesday afternoon, following a one-minute stoppage of public transport services at noon, paying tribute to victims of the epidemic. Karacsony said recent days saw a "painfully" high number of victims, adding that the one-minute silence could not bring back those that died but represented a warning that there was no room for impatience" and "no matter how difficult, we must still hold on".
