Budapest airport remains operational

March 17th, 2020

Budapest's Liszt Ferenc International Airport remains operational but only Hungarians and holders of a residence permit may enter the country after passport control, the airport's operator, Budapest Airport, said on Tuesday. Also, arrivals will be restricted to Terminal 2B. Foreign and Hungarian citizens are allowed to travel from Hungary. Airport police are checking the travel documents of all passengers who have the right to stay in Hungary and can prove it. This means the citizens of the EU, EEA, UK, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
