Budaj: Slovakia will be probably fined by EU for failing to protect wood grouse

Environment Minister Jan Budaj (OLaNO) reported on Tuesday that Slovakia will most probably be fined by the EU for failing to provide sufficient protection to the western capercaillie species, also known as the wood grouse. The minister claimed in this regard that hes doing his utmost to ensure that his reform of national parks and reservations in Slovakia becomes a solid argument in court and so demonstrate that that Slovakia is making progress in terms of the protection of the species as well as forests.
